Gay weddings
A lot of people assume that everything his great for LGBT people who are trying to get married now that it is legal in the US. Most people don’t see the hate that people still have. My fiancée and I went to look at a very nice venue but were ignored because we were two girls. After getting a tour and going over everything we decided we didn’t feel very welcomed there. Two days later we went to another venue and that woman was fantastic to us. When I said what had happened at the other place she was astonished. She assured us that we were 100% welcomed there. It made a huge difference to us and we ended up poking that venue. I know this is just the beginning but I want people to know it still isn’t easy to be gay.
You just have to. Because if you spend too much time blaming the world, the world wins.
